PPP disowns Shehla Raza’s statement
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has distanced itself from the statement of party leader Shehla Raza pertaining to deal with former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, Geo News reported.

According to PPP spokesman, the party has taken notice of Shehla’s statement, adding that her statement was misleading and against the facts.

PPP leader Shehla Raza Tuesday disclosed it had been agreed under National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) that no martial law would be imposed till three general elections in the country.

“America, Britain and UAE had held out their guarantees,” Shehla Raza said while speaking in Geo News programme “News Room” hosted by Aisha Bakhsh.

The PPP leader further said that her party Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari had proceeded to the US to remind them their past promises.
