'Samosa' vendor secures second position in Lahore Matric Board Exam
LAHORE: Hailing from a humble background, Mohammad Rizwan obtained second position in the matriculation examinations in Lahore. Earning a livelihood by selling 'samosas' Rizwan managed to secure the second position despite having to work at the same time.

Muhammad Rizwan appeared in the examination as a private candidate and his roll number was 988.

The son of a ‘chowkidar’ or a gatekeeper, Rizwan said that he had given up on his education due to his circumstances, but after watching Geo’s program ‘Alif, Bay, Pay’, he was motivated to begin studying again. Rizwan then began going to school and studying in the morning and sold ‘samosas’ at night to raise money for his education.
