Parts of KP celebrate Eidul Fitr today

PESHAWAR: Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai, the prayer leader at the Qasim Ali Khan mosque and head of the unofficial Ruet-i-Hilal committee, announced here late Sunday night to celebrate Eidul Fitr in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today (Monday), Geo News reported.

Speaking to media after meeting of unofficial moon sighting committee, Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai, announced sighting of Shawaal crescent saying that they have received testimonies about moon sighting from Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda and other areas.

Popalzai declared that Eidul Fitr would be celebrated today (Monday) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Meanwhile, the official Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet here on Monday (July 28) for the sighting of Shawwal (1435 Hijri) crescent.
