Police, Ranger kill ‘gangster’ in Lyari

KARACHI: An alleged gangster was killed during a raid jointly conducted by the Rangers and police in Lyari on Friday.

According to reports, a suspect was injured in a police encounter in Nawa Lane area of Lyari.

The injured was taken into custody. The police said that the suspect was involved in various crimes including extortion, kidnapping for ransom and targeted killing. They said that the suspect was affiliated with Naeem Lahooti Group.

Three people were injured in a firing incident in Hussain Hazara Colony area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal during resistance in a robbery.
