Two die after contracting Congo virus in Balochistan
QUETTA: Two men who had contracted the Congo virus died on Saturday while a woman suffering from the same virus is being treated, District Health Officer Mohammed Shah told the media.

“Thirty-year-old Abdullah Jan died at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Zhob, while 60-year-old Taween Khan passed away in Multan,” Shah said.

Shah said Abdur Razzaq, 25, had been admitted to the Jilani Hospital in Quetta earlier from where he was discharged after initial treatment.

“A woman has also been admitted to the Fatima Jinnah TB Sanatorium in Quetta,” the DHO of Zhob said.

All the patients were reportedly infected in a small village, Killi Blump, comprising 12 to 13 houses near Mena Bazaar, about 40 kilometers off Zhob city. “They were infected in July,” Shah added.
