Cable operators directed to shut Geo News in Lahore

LAHORE: Cable operators have received telephone calls and directed to shut Geo News in several areas of the city.

Geo News has been shut in 70 percent of the country for the last four months and has taken all legal approaches for restoration on cable.

Geo News followed a PEMRA notice over a story and served suspension while also paying a fine. Despite this Geo News is still suffering from a disturbing situation.

The channel is under financial strain while journalists and workers have not received their salaries.
