Qadri accuses govt of halting food, water supplies to dharna
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has said that the government has not been allowing his workers to supply food items and potable water for the participants of the sit-in.

He said he was informed by an officer that something would be mixed up in the water being provided to marchers to trigger diarrhea among them.

Qadri said that D-chowk and areas around it had virtually been turned into a prison. He ordered his workers to get the food supplies-laden trucks released from the authorities in Margalla.

He also sought assurances and promises from his followers that they will not leave him at the site of the sit-in.
