PTI assures SC its sit-in peaceful and will remain peaceful
ISLAMABAD: The reply to the Supreme Court notice has been submitted on behalf of the Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in case against extra-constitutional steps on Friday morning here, Geo News reported.

A five-member larger bench led by Chief Justice Nasir-ul- Mulk and comprising of Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa hearing the case.





PTI Chairman Imran Khan in his reply said that he believed in the supremacy of constitution and law and assured that none of the PTI worker would enter any government building, as Imran Khan was not in favor of any sort of extra-constitutional and illegal steps.

Imran Khan in his reply further assured that his party’s sit-in was peaceful and would remain peaceful.

The court has also been prayed in the reply to order for the removal of containers blocking roads and causing much difficulty to the citizens.

Responding to the court notice, it further said that the Articles 4, 9, 15, 16, 17, 19 and 25 of the constitution permit staging peaceful sit-in.

The hearing of the case will begin at 11.30 A.M. today.

It may be recalled that the Supreme Court Bar Association president, Kamran Murtuza had filed a constitutional petition praying the court to order restraining any extra-constitutional steps in the garb of existing political turmoil.
