PTI submits National Assembly resignations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders have submitted the resignations of its parliamentarians to the National Assembly Secretary.

The resignations could not be submitted to NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq as he had to travel to Lahore.

Speaking to Geo News, Sadiq said he would open the resignation letters on Monday and any PTI leader can withdraw their resignation prior to that.

The PTI has 34 members in the National Assembly and according to resources resignations of MNAs Sheikh Rashid and Hamshed Dasti will also be submitted.

Speaking to the media PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said his party was not against the constitution and considered new transparent elections as the democratic way forward.
