I want to promote peace between Pakistan, India, says Mika Singh
HOUSTON: “There is no difference between people of Pakistan and India. This is our Politicians who keep us divided. It should be our effort to keep our relationship based on love and common traditions, said popular Indian singer and performer Mika Singh in a special interview with Geo News/Jang here in Local Hotel in Houston.

He said that the way he received love and affection from Pakistani fans during his concerts in Dallas and Houston, he admires it.

He said that Indians are his fan which is natural but when he gets love from Pakistanis, it makes him feel happy.

He said that Houston concert was a well-attended event. He congratulated Indian and Pakistani on their independence days.

He said that he had visited Pakistan and travelled throughout the country without any bodyguard and received love from people of Lahore and Karachi.

Mika Singh said he will visit Pakistan again as soon as he gets a chance. He said that he says this without any hesitation that “I love Pakistan” and “I love Pakistani fans”. “You can ask famous vocalist Ghulam Ali , whose residence he stay in whenever he visits India.

He said when Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and javed Basheer become his guests when they visit India.

He said he enjoys Pakistanis staying with him in India. He said that there is no doubt that Pakistani music is the best, especially Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s music.

“Our language and culture and even our images are same, I speak Punjabi which is same in both countries, ” he said.

“The said divisions are solely created by politicians, adding that he will work for the peace and friendship between the two countries.

“I would like to keep all the people of Pakistan and India dancing in my world tour, he added.

The concert promoter and Radio Hum Tum Radio CEO Rehan Siddiqui said on this occasion that events like this bring people closer and it is important for us to keep bringing shows like this to promote harmony and peace among people.

He said Pakistani and Indian anthems were played during the concert in Houston.
