Kaira urges Imran not to endanger current set up
LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader, Qamar Zaman Kaira Saturday urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan not to endanger the set up currently in place in the country.

Talking to Geo News, Kaira advised Imran to withdraw resignations and pave the way for a negotiated settlement of the issues.

“Tehreek-e-Insaf should take back their resignations to avert a deadlock,” he said, adding, the government should also demonstrate flexibility.

However, the PPP leader said that the government did not constitute the kind of commission to probe allegations of election rigging that the PTI had demanded.

Led by Imran Khan, PTI has been laying a siege around the country’s Parliament House for several days, demanding resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. PTI has been accusing Nawaz Sharif of massively rigging the elections of May 2013.

Similar demand is also being made by the leader of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Tahirul Qadri whose sit in has also been going on simultaneously at the same site.
