PAT workers torture Geo News cameraman at Constitution Avenue

ISLAMABAD: After Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers on Monday night tortured the Geo News team, covering the sit-in.

According to details, the Geo News team was present at the sit-in to perform its professional duties, when one PAT worker began abusing Geo staffers and later attacked cameraman Irfan Hashmi with a cane.


The angry mob tried to put the cameraman into a vehicle, while security personnel played the role of silent spectators at Constitution Avenue.

Later, media representatives gathered and protested against the attacks on Geo News' cameraman. They also demanded that PAT's administration take action against those involved.

The journalists also stopped coverage of PAT following the incident.
