Journalists demand judicial investigation of Mastoi’s killing

QUETTA: The journalist fraternity of Balochistan province demanded the judicial investigation into the murders of General Secretary of Balochistan Union of Journalists (BUJ) and Bureau Chief Online News Agency Irshad Mastoi and his crew members while condemning the killings, Geo News reported on Saturday.

Irshad Mastoi and reporter Abdul Rasool were laid to eternal rest in Jacobabad and Khajjak Sibi respectively while accountant Online news agency Muhammad Yunus was buried at Sabzal road graveyard on Friday.

All the three were killed in target killing in their office here on Thursday.

Irshad Mastoi was buried by side of his brother in Jacobabad. His funeral was attended by a large number of journalists, friends and relatives including President Federal Union of Journalists Afzal Butt, President BUJ Irfan Saeed, Muhammad Ayub Bhutto, office bearers of National Party, political and social figures.
