ECP deadline to submit party asset details expires
ISLAMABAD: The deadline issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to submit the asset details of political parties expired on Saturday (today), Geo News reported.

According to the ECP, the deadline had ended on August 29th and only 25 out of the 282 registered political parties submitted details of their accounts and assets for the last financial year to the ECP.

Furthermore, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Pakistan Muslim League Qauid-e-Azam (PML Q) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) did not submit the details of their party assets to the ECP.

However, the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML N), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Awami National Party (ANP), Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), National People’s Party (NPP), Awami Muslim League (AML) and Qaumi Watan Party-Sherpao have submitted their party assets details.

The ECP said that election symbols will not be allotted to the parties that have not submitted their details.
