Oppressors left no option for Imran’s return: Hashmi
MULTAN: President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Javed Hashmi Sunday said if a martial law is imposed it will trigger a big rebellion and the country will break into pieces.

Addressing a press conference, Javed Hashmi said there is no logical end for the sit-ins and that the ‘oppressors have not left any option open for Imran Khan’s return’.

He said he was still waiting for a show cause notice from PTI Chairman Imran Khan. “I will send a befitting response in writing to the show cause (when it is served),” he added.

Javed Hashmi said he would like the entire leadership of PTI to look him in the eye when they speak with him.

He said Imran Khan should come clean and tell the nation if his decisions were not prompted by ‘signals’.

Hashmi said it had been decided inside the container that there would be no staging of sit-in in front of the Parliament House.

He said, later, Imran Khan went atop the container and said the party’s core committee had a meeting. “In reality, no such meeting was held.”

Hashmi said he was shocked on the distortion of facts by Imran Khan and other leaders of PTI.

“Ejaz Shah had said that Nawaz Sharif would not step down,” Hashmi continued.

However, he added that Imran Khan had on other other hand said that all had been planned and the Supreme Court would announce fresh elections in the next three months.

“Whatever is happening, I wouldn’t call it a script, because the army and ISI would have no knowledge of this,” he said.

Hashmi said in the present situation some ‘retired generals’ were in a hurry to send the government packing. “Ten days ago Hameed Gul (retired Lt. General) had told me that tonight will be the last night,” he added.

Javed Hashmi said in PTI nobody talks about Imran Khan’s becoming a prime minister. “Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Jehangir Tarin are all set (to take the position), (because) Imran Khan is a Pathan.”

“Shaikh Rasheed had predicted that military men would go to the court and a technocrat government would be announced," he said.

He further quoted Shaikah Rasheed as saying, ‘whether Nawaz Sharif quits as Prime Minister now or not, he will eventually be stripped of his post.’

Lt (retd) Hameed Gul

Geo News contacted Hameed Gul to get his reaction on Javed Hashmi’s press conference.

Hameed Gul denied Javed Hashmi’s claims, saying he had happened to meet Hashmi at a wedding where he had only said to him that ‘the entire action is there while you, Hashmi sahab, are here.’
