People asked to vacate kacha areas in Sindh
ISLAMABAD: A tide of 260,000 cusecs of flood water was passing through Guddu Barrage on Monday morning and the water level was rising. Floodwater from Panjnad is expected to reach Guddu Barrage in the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile people living in katcha areas in Kashmore, Kandhkot, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Khairpur, Naushero Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad and other districts alongside River Indus have been asked to shift to the safer places or in the relief camps where arrangements for provision of food and medical facilities to them have been made by the government.

The staff of irrigation and other relevant departments have been put on high alert to meet any the situation arising out of floods.
