‘Dukhtar’ to be released on Thursday
KARACHI: The new Pakistani film “Dukhtar” is being released tomorrow (Thursday) under the banner of Geo Films.

“Dukhtar is a powerful story about a mother’s personal quest to save her ten-year-old daughter from an arranged marriage to a tribal leader. It is also Pakistan’s first road-trip thriller shot in the surreal landscapes of the northern areas.

Besides beautiful locations of mountainous northern areas of Pakistan, the music of the film is also melodious which is slightly different from the pattern composition.

The music of Dukhtar, story of a brave mother and her 10-year old daughter, is composed by Sahir Ali Bagga.

The sound track of the film includes the voice of Raha Fateh Ali Khan, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Sarah Raza, Hina Nasarullah and Sahir Ali Bagga.

The film is helmed by Afia Nathaniel, one of Pakistan’s most exciting filmmakers and founder of Lahore-based Zambeel Films, and produced by Muhammad Khalid Ali, seasoned producer at The Crew Films in Karachi.

After the success of “Khuda Ke Liye” and “Bol” under the banner of Geo films, “Dukhtar” is being released nationwide on September 18.
