Senior journalists condemn Imran’s allegations
ISLAMABAD: Senior journalists have strongly condemned allegations put without evidence by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran at media men, Geo News reported.

The senior journalists and analysts demanded Imran Khan to present evidences to prove his allegations. They also demanded formation of judicial commission to probe into these accusations.

Imran Khan, on Monday alleged that some TV anchors, who gave wrong figures about the strength of his sit-in, were a saleable commodity.

He told his supporters that certain TV anchors, who took money, wrongly claimed that a few thousand people had attended the PTI sit-in.

Imran alleged that the government had given massive advertisements to newspapers.

Talking to Geo News, Senior analyst Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami strongly condemned these accusations and said the dignity of Imran requires that he must confirm before speaking.

President, Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists, Afzal Butt demanded formation of judicial commission to investigate such allegations on media persons.

Senior analyst Sohail Warraich said it was not suitable to blame all the journalists. He said criticism should be tolerated.

Senior journalist Mazhar Abbas said Imran should disclose the name of saleable journalists if he had some moral courage.

Arshad Ansari rejected Imran’s allegations of taking money, saying that if PTI chairman possesses evidences he must show these.
