New contact to be made with Imran, Qadri tomorrow: Haq

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islam (JI) Chief, Sirajul Haq said on Wednesday that the political jirga would be contacting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insat (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chief Tahirul Qadri tomorrow (Thursday).

The JI chief told reporters that he would urge Imran and Qadri towards reconciliation. “Pakistan is going through a crisis on a daily basis due to this political crisis,” Haq said.



He added that the leaders of the political jirga had decided to start their new contact with PTI, PAT and government on Thursday. The JI chief emphasised that the political jirga will try to seek a resolution to the ongoing political crisis.

According to Haq, in the first round the members of the political jirga will meet and in the second round consultations will be held with the government, PTI and PAT.
