HYDERABAD: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 3 wickets in first match of Group-A of Champions League T20 on Wednesday played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

KKR chasing down the respectable total of 157 runs total have a disastrous start, as top five bats man back to the pavilion with 51 runs on board.

On this occasion its seems like Knight Riders lost their path before Ryan ten Doeschate and Andre Russell came for the rescue.

Russell smashed 58 just facing 25 bowls while Ten Doeschate make shore that team cross the wining line. He made unbeaten 52 runs.

Ashish Nehra took four wickets for Chennai Supper Kings.

Earlier, Chennai batting first puts on a decent total of 157 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. Brandon McCullum and Dwayne Smith gives CSK a blistering start of 37 runs.

Dwayne Bravo and Skipper MS Dhoni smashed all over the park. Bravo scored 28 runs while Dhoni contributed 35 runs to guide CSK score to 157 on loss of four wickets.

Piyush Chawla picked up two wickets for Knight Riders.
