KU closed to mourn death of Dr Shakeel Auj

KARACHI: Karachi University remained closed on second consecutive day (Friday) to mourn the death of its dean Prof Hafiz Shakeel Auj.

The dean of faculty of Islamic Studies was murdered by target killers on Thursday at University Road.

The students and teachers have appealed to the government and Supreme Court of Pakistan to take notice of the unbridled target killings in Karachi and order strict action against unknown persons busy in the bloodbath of the largest city of Pakistan

The Vice Chancellor of Karachi University had announced three days mourning over the death of the senior scholar after which the educational activities remained suspended at the campus.
