Five new polio cases surface in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Five new polio cases have been confirmed across Pakistan on Tuesday, raising the number of victims this year to 171, Geo News reported.

According to the sources in the Department of National Heath, the new polio cases have been reported in Karachi, Quetta, Tank, Razmuk and Khyber Agency.

With the new victim in Karachi, the number of polio cases in Sindh has reached to 15.

According to World Health Organization report, presented in the United Nations, 9 out of 10 polio victim children hails from Pakistan.
