BANGALORE: Lahore Lions lost the toss in their must-win-big match against Perth Scorchers and were put in to bat. The equation for them was clear: they need to score more than 136 and ensure a win by at least 47 runs. If they score 136 or less, they still have a chance but they will have to ensure a win margin of at least 46 runs.

Chennai Super Kings will have an eye on this match too as it will be them who will be knocked off the tournament if Lions achieve the target figures.

Mohammad Hafeez said at the toss that the equation was not playing on his mind and his team was aiming to put up a good show. They were setback by the loss of Ahmed Shehzad, who was not well. He was replaced by Umar Siddiq. They also included seam-bowling allrounder Mohammad Saeed in place of Agha Salman.

Perth Scorchers, who are already out of the tournament, rested their captain Adam Voges and handed the leadership to Mitchell Marsh. Nathan Coulter-Nile was also rested. Cameron Bancroft and Hilton Cartwright were the two replacements.

Perth Scorchers: Craig Simmons, Cameron Bancroft, Ashton Agar, Mitchell Marsh (captain), Sam Whiteman (wk), Ashton Turner, Hilton Cartwright, Yasir Arafat, Joel Paris, Michael Beer, Brad Hogg.
