Four alleged gang war accused killed in Lyari
KARACHI: Four alleged gangsters were killed when during an exchange of fire when paramilitary Rangers conducted operation in Lyari areas, Geo News reported on Thursday.

According to the sources, Rangers conducted a raid in Shah Baig Lane and were searching houses during which the culprits opened fire on them. As a result of retaliatory action, a gang war accused identified as Sajid was killed. He belonged to Jabbar Jhaingo group. He was involved in 12 murders and the victims included two women as well.

Two of his aides were also arrested during the action, sources added.

Furthermore, a shootout took place when the Rangers conducted a raid in Taghluq Lane area of Lyari on a tip off regarding presence of the suspects. Three gang war accused were killed during the clash while latest weaponry were also recovered from their possession.

The sources said that the suspects were involved in various crimes of serious nature including armed attacks on police.

The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for identification and medico-legal formalities.

The criminals were identified as Shahid Patni, Hanif son of Pir Mohammad and Jamal.
