Passenger van blast claims seven lives in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: At least seven people including a FC official were killed as a result of a blast in a passenger van here on Thursday.

The blast took place in the city’s Bazidkhel area when the van was travelling to Parachinar. The six injured including a child have been shifted to Lady Reading hospital for treatment.

The Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) said a five kilograms of explosives were used and the bomb was planted under a passenger seat.

Initially it was reported that the blast was a result of a cylinder explosion in the passenger van.
