COAS holds discussions with General Nurmantyo

RAWALPINDI: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif met General Gatot Nurmantyo, Chief of Staff of Indonesian Army.

According the Pakistan Army's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) wing, the COAS who is on an official visit to Indonesia discussed matters of mutual interest with General Nurmantyo.

The discussion focused on regional security issues, the bilateral military relationship between Pakistan and Indonesia and measures to further expand the defence and security cooperation.

Upon arrival at the Indonesian Army Headquarters the COAS was given a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned out contingent of the Indonesian Army.

The COAS, General Sharif also visited the Indonesia Peace and Security Center where he held detailed interactions with participants on counter terrorism and highlighted achievements of Pakistan in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
