PM Nawaz, Achakzai discuss political situation
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif met with Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai and discussed political situation along with the security situation in Quetta, Geo News reported on Friday.

Details have it that the two leaders met in the capital city today to hold consultations over the security situation after 13 persons were killed in separate attacks in Quetta including the suicide attack on JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The leaders expressed concern over the security situation and attack on JUI-F leader. Also, matters pertaining to investigation of these incidents were also discussed in the meeting.

It may be mentioned that a shutter down strike is being observed in Quetta today against the Hazar Ganji attack in which nine vegetable vendors were killed. The strike is being observed on the call of the Hazara Democratic Party and Balochistan Shia Conference.

The Balochistan Bar also announced a boycott of court proceedings in protest to Thursday’s blasts and incidents of violence in the city.

Shops and businesses in several areas including Alamdar Road and Mission Road remained closed due to the strike
