Policemen rob superstore in DHA Karachi

KARACHI: Three policemen who were involved in a superstore heist in Defence area were apprehended on Friday.

According to details, several policemen broke into a superstore located on 26 Street in Defence area and took away the store locker along with scratch cards worth Rs 92,000.

The policemen carried out the heist with the help of an aide and escaped with store belongings in the police mobile. Later, the three culprits identified as Sub Inspector Hamza, Head Constable Mazhar and Ilyas were caught with the help of CCTV footage.

The three arrested policemen were part of the Darakhshan police station patrolling team.

Police recovered the looted material along with Rs 250,000 from the safe.

A case was also registered against the accused policemen while police teams are conducting raids in different areas to apprehend the remaining ‘robbers’.
