Cyclone Nilofar loses steam, may hardly hit the coast on Friday
KARACHI: Tropical Cyclone Nilofar in the Arabian Sea has lost its strength and meteorologists now believe that the tropical storm may hardly hit the country’s coast on Friday as was being feared earlier.

However, experts say the cyclone will cause heavy rains with gusty winds in lower Sindh besides the adjoining coastal areas of Balochistan.

Cyclone Nilofar has lost 50 percent intensity which is expected to drop further by 25 percent by Friday evening, meteorologists said.

However, sea conditions along the Pakistan coast are likely to remain rough to very rough from Thursday evening till Saturday due to the cyclone and fishermen of Sindh and Balochistan are advised to keep their activities suspended up till Saturday.
