PM Nawaz expresses dissatisfaction over audit report
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a special meeting of the federal cabinet on Friday and expressed his dissatisfaction over the audit pertaining to inflated power bills that was presented during the session.

According to the sources, the Prime Minister reviewed the performance of three ministries including Railways, Petroleum and Planning and Development.

The audit report regarding over billing of electricity was presented to him in the cabinet meeting today on which the premier expressed his discontentment and termed it a serious matter. He said that the burden on the masses should be addressed properly as the government is responsible to protect peoples’ interest and that the matter should be resolved in any case.

The federal ministers who attended the session also expressed their concern regarding the over billing of electricity.

Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif told that the ministry is reviewing every detail pertaining to the matter of inflated power bills and said that those who displayed negligence in the matter would also be taken to task.
