Deadline to file tax returns extended

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday extended the deadline for taxpayers to file their returns to November 21st from the initial deadline of October 31st 2014.

Businessmen and traders had expressed difficulty in filing tax returns and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) as well as other chambers of commerce requested the FBR to extend the deadline till December 31st 2014.

In light of the requests and the additional holidays due to Muharram, the Federal Board of Revenue has extended the deadline to file tax returns up till 21st November 2014.
