KARACHI: Two people were killed while seven policemen sustained wounds in separate incidents of fire and grenade attacks in various parts of the provincial capital Friday night.

According to details, unknown assailants opened fire and killed two persons in Bangali Para, Korangi.

Earlier, two cops were injured when their patrol van came under grenade attack by unidentified motorcyclists near NIPA Chowrangi. The attackers fled from the scene immediately after that.

The injured policemen were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

An hour after that unknown gunmen targeted a police van near Nagan Chowrangi, injuring two cops.

One more policeman sustained wounds as a result of a grenade attack on a police station in Chakiwara area of Lyari. The attack also damaged the police station’s wall and its door.

In another incident of firing by unidentified gunmen two policemen riding a motorcycle were injured.
