Asma Jehangir group wins SCBA election

ISLAMABAD: Asma Jehangir group has won Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) annual election.

Fazl Haq Abbasi has been elected as new president while Chaudhry Maqsood Ahmed as General Secretary of the lawyers body.

Abbasi defeated his opponent Abdul Sattar by 49 votes. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervez Rashid congratulated the winning candidates.
