Tribal leader Barat Khan, son killed in Chaman

CHAMAN: Tribal leader, Malik Barat Khan and his son were gunned down while his other son was injured after unknown gunmen opened fire in Chaman area of Balochistan, Geo News reported Saturday.

According to sources, the incident took place on College Road when Malik Barat Khan Achakzai was on his way to drop his two sons to school.

Unidentified men riding on motorcycles ambushed his car and sprayed bullets leaving Achakzai and his two sons severely injured.

The locals shifted the injured persons to the Civil Hospital where Achakzai and his 12-year-old son Abdul Kareem succumbed to their injuries while the other son Abdul Salam was shifted to Quetta in critical condition.

Levies personnel arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area while investigation into the incident is underway.
