Pakistan close third day on 61-2, lead by 370
ABU DHABI: Pakistan were 61-2 in their second innings at stumps on the third day of the second Test against Australia in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

At the close Azhar Ali was 21 not out while Younis Khan was on 16 as Pakistan stretched their overall lead to 370 with eight wickets intact at Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

That put Pakistan in a strong position to clinch their first series win over Australia since 1994.

Australia were dismissed for 261 in their first innings, conceding a big 309-run lead over Pakistan´s first innings score of 570-6 declared.

Mitchell Marsh top-scored with 87 and Michael Clarke made 47.

For Pakistan paceman Imran Khan finished with 3-60 while Yasir Shah, Rahat Ali and Zulfiqar Babar took two wickets apiece.

Pakistan won the first Test by 221 runs in Dubai.
