Newly appointed DG ISI calls on Air Chief

ISLAMABAD: Newly appointed Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar arrived here at Air Headquarters on Thursday on his maiden visit.

He called on Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff Pakistan Air Force, in his office.

This was his first meeting with the Air Chief after assuming the responsibilities of Director General ISI.

Both the dignitaries remained together for sometime and discussed matters relating to national security issues.

The Air Chief extended his best wishes to the new DG ISI and expressed his confidence that the institution would serve the national interest in the best manner under his leadership.

The Air Chief further said that ISI has always safeguarded the national interests in consonance with the aspirations of the people of Pakistan.

The Air Chief also presented a memento to DG ISI at the occasion. (PPI)
