MQM asks authorities to take notice of Munawar’s remarks
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) coordination committee Saturday demanded of the Chief Justice Pakistan (CJP) to take notice of former Jamat-e-Islami Amir’s statement.

According to a statement issued here, MQM coordination committee asked the President Mamnoon Hussian, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and Army Chief General Raheel Sharif to take notice of Munawwar Hasan’s controversial remarks, terming it an attempt to provoke public to violence.

Earlier, addressing a public gathering in Lahore city, Munawwar Hasan had called for the replacement of democratic system with the culture of ‘Jihad’.

Munawwar Hassan ruled out the resolution of issues through democratic disposition and instead called for promoting the culture of ‘Jihad’ to overcome the present challenges.
