Decision on PM address to nation will be made later: spokesman
ISLAMABAD: The spokesman of Prime Minister Secretariat has clarified that there was nothing final about the PM’s address tonight (Monday) and a decision to this effect will be made later on.

According to a statement issued from the spokesman of PM House, the Premier is heading Nepal for SAARC Summit. Therefore, a decision about his address to the nation will be made later on.

It said the government deems it necessary to keep the nation informed about its future course of action and also to convey its positive message. “The Prime Minister wishes to take the nation into confidence on national issues and political matters,” it added.

The spokesman further said that consultations was held in connection with the PM’s address to the nation today but a final decision about its timing could not be made.

Earlier, sources had reported that the PM would address the nation tonight (Monday).

The sources had added that the Premier would take the nation into confidence over the existing political situation as well as important trade agreements with China.
