SC decides to call back services of Justice Jamali

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has decided to call back the services of Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali – the acting Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).
According to a statement issued at SC, the services of Justice Zaheer Jamali will be called back with effect from December 5 and the ECP has already been informed of this decision.
It is pertinent to mention here that the deadline given by the SC to government to appoint a permanent Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) is expiring today.
However, the appointment of permanent CEC is yet to be made by the government.
