Zardari not defending democracy but himself: Sheikh Rasheed
KARACHI: Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed says Zardari is not defending democracy but himself.

Talking to media at Karachi airport Sheikh Rasheed said that all opposition leaders acknowledge rigging in the election but still side with Nawaz Shareef.

He also said that if law and constitution is mentioned they will do the same and if the government will play foul so will they.

On a question about Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) he said that he is in constant contact with MQM.

AML chief also mentioned that General Raheel Sharif was warmly welcomed in America whereas all notable people were absent during Nawaz Sharif’s Security Council address.

He further said that Nawaz Sharif and his party were working towards destroying democracy and 7 families and 30 incompetent technically faulty children had captured the country.

The fire brand leader demanded that the pay scales of policemen from Sindh and Balochistan should be brought at par with pay scales of Punjab police.
