Court proceedings against Mir Shakeel ur Rahman suspended
QUETTA: After the interim order of the Baluchistan high court, the court proceedings on the basis of an FIR against program Utho Jago Pakistan's 14 May episode have been suspended forthwith.

The interim order was issued on the constitutional petition of Editor-in-Chief Jang Group of Companies, Mir Shakeel ur Rahman and the Independent Media Corporation (IMC).

The order was issued by a 2-member bench comprising Justice Noor Mohammad Maskanzai and Justice Mohammad Hashim Kakar.

The petition contended that according to Article-13 of the Constitution of Pakistan no one can be tried more than once on the same charge and the court agreed to it.

Later, the court issued notices for Prosecutor General and Advocate General and adjourned the hearing for the case till 16th December.
