Police van targeted in DI Khan blast

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A remote-control bomb blast occurred near a police van in Tehsil Kolachi of Dera Ismail Khan Friday, Geo News reported.

According to the sources, DSP Zahoor Khan’s vehicle was the alleged target of the remotely controlled bomb blast when he was en route to Kolachi from Dera Ismail Khan.

Fortunately, the DSP was not in the vehicle and remained safe however his driver and gunman Muhammad Asif got injured in the explosion who were shifted to District Headquarter Hospital for treatment.

Gunman Muhammad Asif is said to be in critical condition, hospital sources told.

Meanwhile, security forces cordoned off the area and launched investigation.
