Execution at Khi Central Jail begins tomorrow, security beefed up
KARACHI: Security has been beefed up at consulate buildings and jails due to execution of convicts from tomorrow (Saturday) in Central Jail Karachi, Geo News reported.

District Officer FC, Ahmed Jamal said paramilitary personnel, equipped with LMG and other modern weapons, have been put on high alert and they have been directed to shoot the accused in any untoward situation.

The heavy contingent of special commandos, working in FATA, have been deployed at Central Jail Karachi, Malir and Sukkur Jails for security.

Over 450 terrorists, who had been awarded death sentence, are present in Sindh jails and last execution was carried out in 2008.

According to jail officials Sindh, in the first phase, banned outfit members Attaullah alias Qasim, Muhammad Azam, Behram Khan, Shafqat Hussain, Jalal Morejo and Abdul Rehman will be hanged to death after Pakistan ended death penalty moratorium in terror cases.
