Altaf demands arrest of Maulana Aziz, closure of Jamia Hafsa
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain strongly condemned Peshawar school attack and paid rich tribute to the martyrs, Geo News reported.

Addressing a massive rally, taken out to express solidarity with Pakistan Army and families of the victims of Peshawar school attack, Altaf Hussain said innocent children and teachers were martyred in the massacre.

Altaf said it is not the rally of MQM but the National Solidarity Rally of Pakistan.

Altaf Hussain also demanded arrest of Lal Mosque clerk Maulana Abdul Aziz, who declared the Peshawar school attack reaction of terrorists. He also called upon the authorities concerned to shut Jamia Hafsa.

People from minorities and all walks of life attended the national solidarity rally from Numaish Chorangi to Tibet Centre.

Terming the terrorists as ‘beasts’, Altaf Hussain said; “if we want to save Pakistan, we should get rid of Taliban.” He called upon the Law Enforcement Agencies to extend the circle of operation against terrorists to entire country.

Operation Zarb-e-Azb should continue till elimination of last terrorist from the country, he maintained.

He said Islam is a religion of peace and its teachings are for peace and brotherhood.
