Eight terrorists to be executed in Punjab
LAHORE: Eight terrorists on death row will be executed in prison across Punjab on Saturday.

According to Punjab Home Minister, Shuja Khanzada, the executions will be carried out at the Kot Lakpat, Adiala and Bahawalpur jails.

The moratorium on the death penalty in terrorism cases was lifted in Pakistan following the brutal Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) orchestrated attack at the Army Public School in Peshawar that killed 149 people mostly children.

Pakistan executed its first hardened terrorists on Friday when Aqeel alias Dr Usman and Arshad Mahmood were sent to the gallows at the district jail in Faisalabad.

Usman was the mastermind of the 10 October 2009 attack on the General Headquarters (GHQ) while Mahmood was involved in the attack on former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf.
