Ashraf denies reports of Amin Fahim’s annoyance with PPP
KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Raja Pervez Ashraf on Saturday said that Makhdoom Amin Fahim is still the party president and, therefore, his resentment towards the party is out of question.

Talking to newsmen along with Opposition leader Khursheed Shah after meeting Amin Fahim at his residence, former prime minister Pervez Ashraf said he and other party leaders had come to Karachi to attend a wedding.

“Political leaders do have meetings with one another and Amin Fahim met Pervez Musharraf openly,” he argued.

He said his party had helped the government against terrorism on every level, saying that PPP stands in the frontline on war against terrorism.

Pervez Ashraf also denied reports of Bilwal Bhutto’s annoyance, asking the media to confirm the news before publishing.

He further said he never met former president Pervez Musharraf.
