SA session adjourned before any proceedings as most members absent
KARACHI: The Sindh Assembly session on Friday was adjourned till Monday before any proceedings even began as Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani was present but nearly all members were absent.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Syed Sardar Ahmed said that if there is no quorum then after seeing the situation of number of members present, the Speaker can ring the first bell and if after that still no members are present then again the bell can be rung. He went on to say that today the Speaker did not ring any bell and neither did he follow any regulations.

Ahmed further said that there was no action taken on resolutions they had submitted for today and the session was adjourned unlawfully.

MQM MPA Khawaja Izharul Hassan said that the dismal performance of the Sindh government is evident to everyone and that it was their responsibility to fulfill the quorum.

He went on to say that all MQM MPAS were present today and that they had submitted two motions as well.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senior Minister Nisar Khuhro said that the Speaker holds the right to adjourn the session in case of no quorum.
