Imran warns PTI lawmakers against accepting bribes in Senate poll
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday warned his party lawmakers that they would be expelled from the PTI if they accepted bribes to cast vote in the election for the upper house of the parliament.

Speaking at a press conference, Khan said that he would not care if the party lost the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Responding to Khan’s remarks, Information Minister Pervez Rashid of PML-N said the PTI chairman accused his party of taking money as he was scared of an imminent revolt.

He said Imran Khan, who treated party MNAs and MPAs like his employees, should first put his own house in order.

The minister said that the PTI chairman should refrain from discussing economy and energy to avoid ridicule.

Meanwhile, Salman Shahbaz, director of Ramzan Sugar Mills strongly criticized Imran Khan for unfairly implicating him in a case relating to the mills.

He said that neither complainants levelled any allegation against the mills administration nor the courts mentioned him and the administration of mills in its remarks.

Salman Shahbaz said that it was evident from Imran Khan’s statements that lies and dishonesty were axis of Imran Khan’s politics and he continued to speak lies despite his promise in Lahore rally that he would not do so.

He challenged the PTI chairman to prove his allegations or tender an apology on the media.
