MWM calls for strike across Sindh today
KARACHI: The Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) on Friday announced a peaceful protest strike in Sindh province for today and urged other political, religious and nationalist parties of the province to support its call.

Shia Ulema Council (SUC) leader Allama Abbas Kumaili has also announced three-day mourning to denounce the brutal incident.

At least 58 people including children were killed and as many injured when a bomb blast ripped through an Imambargah in Shikarpur earlier in the day.

Allama Kumaili urged the government to either establish its writ or provide arms for the protection of worship places across the country.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, MQM chief Altaf Hussain and PTI Chairman Imran Khan among other politicians and notables have condemned the incident. The prime minister has also ordered an inquiry while chief minister has announced to observe a day of mourning on Saturday.

Meanwhile, protesters are currently staging sit-ins against the possible suicide terrorist attack at Numaish Chowrangi, Malir 15, Shah Faisal colony, Shahrah Faisal and other spots in Karachi.

Pakistan Highway has also been blocked by angry protesters near Incholi Society.
