Police team reaches Dubai to get custody of Uzair Baloch
DUBAI: A Sindh police reached Dubai on Thursday to take into custody Uzair Jan Baloch, the alleged leader of a criminal gang operating in Karachi's Lyari area.

Uzair Baloch was arrested last month by the Interpol in Dubai, when he was attempting to cross into the United Arab Emirates from Oman. According to sources, Baloch was travelling on a fake Iranian passport with his name listed as Abdul Ghani Khuda Bukhsh.

“We are in constant contact with the Interpol for the extradition of Uzair Jan Baloch,” said SSP Naveed Khawaja, who is heading the police team.

Other members of the team include SSP Crime Investigation Department Usman Bajwa and DSP Kharadar Zahid Hussain.

Interpol had issued red warrants for two key figures of the Lyari gang-wars, Uzair Baloch and Noor Mohammad alias Baba Ladla, on June 11, 2014.
